Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Studio Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar with Case
The Songwriter Deluxe offers superior performance with Rosewood back and sides and an active transducer pickup. In today's world many acoustic guitar manufacturers have chosen to build their instruments more quickly cheaply and in greater numbers. Gibson acoustic guitars are made one-at-a-time by hand. No shortcuts. No substitutions. They're made in Bozeman Montana where the climatic conditions are ideal for guitar building. Most importantly Gibson acoustic guitars are built by master craftspeople that have dedicated their lives to building the world's finest acoustic instruments. These elements combine to create the difference that is the Gibson acoustic guitar. The difference is 'MasterBuilt.' Environment Even though they might get a little more snow up there the environs of Bozeman Montana are a guitar builder's dream come true. Extreme heat and high humidity are natural enemies of wood. Bozeman has neither. The fine Spruces Maples Mahoganies and Rosewoods are carefully cured and environmentally maintained during the building process. There are other advantages to Montana in addition to its ideal climate. Gibson's acoustic guitars rely heavily on its builder's sense of creativity and concentration. Living in 'Big Sky Country' appears to nurture both of these needs. It seems that looking out over a range of snow covered mountains every morning makes for inspired guitar building which in turn makes for inspired guitars. Artistry Experienced builders and players understand that handmade quality design and construction determine an instrument's ability to produce truly beautiful sound. Gibson's methods of handmaking guitars have remained unchanged for nearly a century. The top brace of each guitar is carefully scalloped and arched to focus the sound to the center of the soundhole. The resulting distinctive 'Gibson Tone' shares the same vibrance and fidelity as the sound from a fine audio speaker. Instead of a cheaper bolt-on neck Gibson's dovetail joint technique creates a cohesive bond between the vibrating neck and body as if the guitar were carved from a single piece of wood. This time-honored technique effectively transfers the strings' vibrations directly into the wood for superior tone and unsurpassed resonance. Finally unlike other manufacturers Gibson still uses its famous 'violin-like' lacquer finish. Over the years the complex makeup of the lacquer merges with the wood further sweetening the instrument's tone and poviding an unmistakable 'vintage' look and feel that players and collectors have come to cherish. Each Gibson acoustic guitar is full of expression character and exquisite beauty. None is ordinary and no 2 are alike. When compared to a marketplace full of 'lookalikes ' the differences of a MasterBuilt Gibson acoustic are unmatched in quality and performance. Warranty In 1894 in a 1-man shop in Kalamazoo Michigan Orville Gibson created a new family of guitars and mandolins that would inspire generations of craftsmen to produce s

Gibson Sg Standard Electric Guitar with Case
Instantly recognizable. The backbone of rock and roll. The ultimate conduit between the music in your head and the sound coming out of your amp. Gibson's best selling SG Standard shatters all perceptions of what an electric guitar can and should be. The slim lightweight mahogany body; unmistakable twin cutaways pointed horns and beveled edges; the fastest neck in the business; a pair of Gibson's screamin' humbucker pickups all irresistible features coveted by some of the greatest guitar players of all time. Various SG models have been played on stage by the likes of Pete Townshend Angus Young Tony Iommi Robby Krieger Chris Robinson Alex Lifeson Derek Trucks Elliot Easton Jim James Jeff Tweedy Moby Keith Urban Nick Jonas Rocco DeLuca. The list is unbelievable. When will you add your name to the list Available Finishes Take your pick between two gorgeous time honored finishes Heritage Cherry or Ebony both of which are applied by hand in a process that demands several coats and many hours. Unlike a lot of of our competitors who settle for a polyurethane finish Gibson opts for a nitrocellulose finish that will encourage the natural vibration of the instrument for a purer tone. In addition a nitro finish is very porous and actually gets thinner over time. That way your guitar's wood can breathe and age beautifully. Exquisite mother of pearl and acrylic inlays make this guitar a knock out Among other key distinctions the SG Standard stands out from its no frills kid sister the SG Special because of the fine mother of pearl Gibson logo and holly inlays that decorate its headstock. The SG Standard also boasts figured acrylic trapezoid inlays along its rosewood fingerboard. A meaty neck profile with elegant fingerboard binding The most distinguishable neck of all time. The traditional '50s neck profile on the SG Standard is hand sanded by American craftsmen to give you a comfortably thick round profile that emulates the neck shapes of the iconic late '50s Gibson models. The cherry on top is the stunning antique cream binding that runs along the fingerboard. Hot chrome pickups dole out a searing modern sound Gibson's 490R and 498T pickups 'R' for rhythm and 'T' for treble are Gibson's most versatile pickups. These covered humbuckers give you the tonal characteristics of an original PAF but with a slight increase in upper mid range response. The Gibson 498T bridge pickup is the perfect complement for the 490R giving you a hotter sound with emphasis on mid ranges and highs. Resonant set neck construction leaves our competitors in the dust Better tone better sustain and no loose or misaligned necks. That's what distinguishes the neck of the SG Standard from those of most of our competitors who opt for bolt on necks. The neck on the SG Standard is glued on by hand to ensure maximum contact between the neck and body. This allows the neck and body of your guitar to function as a single incredibly resonant unit. Gibson Sg Special Electric Guitar with Gig Bag
The original Gibson SG shattered all perceptions of what a guitar should be when it was first introduced in 1961. Today the SG stands as one of Gibson's most popular and best selling guitars. Its distinct twin cutaways pointed horns and beveled edges have made it one of the most inspired and iconic designs in the history of guitar making. Nitrocellulose Finish Applying a nitrocellulose finish to any Gibson guitar is one of the most labor intensive elements of the guitar making process. A properly applied nitro finish requires extensive man hours several evenly applied coats and an exorbitant amount of drying time. But this fact has never swayed Gibson into changing this time tested method employed ever since the first Gibson guitar was swathed with lacquer back in 1894. Why For starters a nitro finish dries to a much thinner coat than a polyurethane finish which means there is less interference with the natural vibration of the instrument allowing for a purer tone. A nitro finish is also a softer finish which makes it easily repairable. You can touch up a scratch or ding on a nitro finish but you can't do the same on a poly finish. In addition a nitro finish is very porous in nature and actually gets thinner over time. It does not 'seal' wood in an airtight shell as a poly finish does and allows the wood to breathe and age properly. The Gibson Logo The most innovative and revolutionary stringed instruments of all time have carried the name Gibson the Les Paul the ES 335 the Explorer the Flying V the SG. The list goes on and on. There is no mistaking the classic hand crafted mother of pearl logo inlayed into a pressed fiber head veneer that is then glued to the face of the mahogany headstock. A thin coat of lacquer finishes the process. It is the most recognizable logo in all of music representing more than a century of originality and excellence. There is simply no equal. Angled Headstock The angled headstock is another example of Gibson's industry changing way of thinking. Every Gibson headstock is carved out of the same piece of mahogany as the neck then fitted with Gibson's traditional wing blocks. It is not a 'glued on' headstock and the process takes craftsmanship time and effort. But the rewards are worth the effort. The headstock is carefully angled at 17 degrees which increases pressure on the strings and helps them stay in the nut slots. An increase in string pressure also means there is no loss of string vibration between the nut and the tuners which equals better sustain. Adjustable Truss Rod The adjustable truss rod is a Gibson innovation that revolutionized the guitar. Before this ground breaking discovery in the early 1920s the truss rod was used only to strengthen and stabilize the neck. By making it adjustable the truss rod now allows a guitar to be set up using a variety of string gauges as well as string heights. This easily accommodates any style of playing and allows a limitless range of set up options. And by placing it at th
